Chiang Rai has been nominated by Thailand to compete as UCCN in 2021
CHIANG RAI: Home to creative nature-lovers, is being changed by a science of aesthetic designs. Chiang Rai is ready to share its cultural richness on the basis of a sustainable nature-culture balance.
Dr. Weera Kangkasikarna, Deputy Permanent Secretary – Ministry of Education, on behalf of Vice Chairperson of Thailand National Commission for UNESCO has announced Chiang Rai and Phetchaburi as nomination cities to compete of UNESCO Creative Cities Network in 2021. Chiang Rai was nominated as a City of Design and Phetchaburi will up for a City of Gastronomy. The Ministry of Education confidently ensures that Chiang Rai ready to be a membership of UCCN in this year. In addition, the Ministry of Education also continually support the program to other ready cities in Thailand. However, the international UCCN committee will announced the award in November 2021.
